St. Marys NS Tagoat is a co-educational primary school which caters for pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth class. The school serves the community of Tagoat at the junction between Wexford town, Rosslare Harbour and Rosslare Strand. We have 4 class teachers and two support teachers and there is a childcare facility, Tir Na NOg, on site.

The Board of Management has a shared sense of purpose and commitment to the school. It undertakes a duty of care for the children attending the school, upholds the ethos and core values of the School.
It maintains links with a number of people, groups and agencies, Patron and Trustees, Board of Management Members, Principal, staff, parents, community, D.E.S., H.S.E., N.E.W.B. etc., so that it operates within the guidelines of openness and transparency afforded to the BOM.
In supporting the work in the school, it participates in the development of school plans and policies, management of staff, resources and buildings, support teaching and learning in the school and makes provision for pupilâs pastoral welfare and special needs.
It operates as a cohesive unit in the best interest of all the pupils in our school
Fiona Whelan, a former pupil of Tagoat, Principal and 1st and 2nd class teacher, is a graduate of St. Patrick's College of Education and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management in Education.
Annie Breslin, a native of Dublin, Deputy Principal,Infant teacher and a graduate of St. Patrick;s College of Education
Yvette Walsh, a Wexford native, Junior and Senior Infant teacher , a graduate of Marino and has completed a Masters in Management in Education.
Damian Pitt, from Murrintown, a latecomer to the profession after a career in Irish Life, then a post grad course in Marino is 5th and 6th class teacher.
Paul O'Keeffe, from Wexford, is learning support teacher and a graduate from Carysfort College of Education , with a post graduate Diploma in Management In Education.
Caroline Horan, is working as the Learning Support teacher. She graduated after a career in the hotel industry.
Deirdre Doheny, a Dubliner and the longest serving member of staff , is Special Needs Assistant and Secretary.
Nuala Meyler from Glynn,is a Special Needs Assistant
